Questions frequently asked before or during the application submission process:
Do I need to apply to become a Palm ResellerPro member if I want to resell Palm® smartphones?
If you plan to resell carrier branded Palm smartphones you do not need to apply to become a Palm reseller. Please work directly with those carriers to become a reseller on their behalf. If you plan to resell generic Palm smartphones (non-carrier branded) through our distribution partners like Ingram Micro and Tech Data, you will need to apply and become approved.
Do I need to become a Palm ResellerPro member in order to resell Palm accessories?
You do not need Palm authorization to resell Palm accessories through our distribution partners.
How long will it be before I hear back on the status of my application?
The review process can take up to two weeks. If you do not receive a reply? within that timeframe, please send an email to resellerpro@palm.com for US applications.
How will I know that my application has been received?
Upon hitting the "submit" button at the end of the application, you should receive an IMMEDIATE "pop-up" message on your screen indicating that it was successfully transmitted. If you did not get that message, it did not go through and you'll need to resubmit it. It is recommended that you keep a copy for your records.
I am getting an error message at the top of my ResellerPro application when I hit the submit button. Why? Did it still go through?
You're likely receiving the error message because there are fields that were left blank. Please scroll down and look for the fields indicated in Red. If there are questions that you do not have a response for, type a "0" in the numeric fields or "not applicable" in the other fields. Please remember that the more information you provide, the quicker the review process can be completed.
If my organization becomes an Authorized ResellerPro member?, will I be able to source all Palm products from a Palm Authorized Distributor?
The ResellerPro Authorization is an approval to source all Palm handheld and smartphone products. However, from time to time, especially during new product launches, Palm may face product constraints that require us to invoke a Strategic Allocation program. If a Strategic Allocation program is in place, your organization will be notified of it in your Program Acceptance email letter and/or email communications directly related to this subject. Palm's intent is to make all products available to all resellers as soon as possible.
